The Version of You That Entered 2026 Cannot Be the Woman Who Enters 2027
Your next level requires a new version of you. Before 2027 begins, it’s time to release the old habits, fears and identities that no longer fit the woman you’re becoming.
The Gap Between Who You Were and Who You Must Become
Remember her?
January 2026 you.
She had plans. She had goals written in her prettiest pen. She had a vision board and a fresh planner. She looked in the mirror and said:
“This is my year.”
And maybe it was.
Just not in the way she imagined.
Because maybe the greatest thing 2026 gave you wasn’t everything you asked for.
Maybe it gave you evidence.
Evidence of who you are when nobody is watching.
Evidence of who people really are.
Evidence of what happens when you procrastinate.
Evidence of what happens when you stay somewhere too long.
Evidence of what happens when you finally believe in yourself.
And evidence of what happens when you don’t.
This year didn’t just happen to you. It showed you you.
Some of what it showed you made you proud. Some of it made you cry in the car before walking into work. Some of it you still haven’t said out loud.
And now another year is standing at the door.
So let me ask you something, and I need you to be honest:
Are you really going to carry the same woman into 2027 and expect her to produce a completely different life?
Same habits. Same fears. Same excuses. Same “I’ll start Monday.”
But a different outcome?
Baby girl.
We have to talk.
You Cannot Manifest What Your Habits Keep Sabotaging
I love a vision board. You know I do.
The house. The body. The money. The passport stamps. The business. The relationship. The freedom.
But there comes a point where we have to stop asking whether our dreams are big enough.
And start asking:
Are my habits strong enough to carry them?
You cannot affirm wealth while managing money recklessly.
You cannot pray for expansion while refusing discipline.
You cannot ask God for a healthy relationship while you keep choosing people who can’t show up.
You cannot ask for peace while you keep answering chaos when it calls.
You cannot ask for visibility while you’re terrified of being seen.
I’m not saying this to shame you. I’m saying it because I’ve done every single one of these.
Here’s what I had to learn:
Manifestation requires participation.
Prayer requires movement.
Faith without works is just a wish with a Bible verse attached.
God will open the door. But He’s not going to drag you through it.
And becoming her? The woman you keep praying to become?
That requires letting parts of you die.
Some Versions of You Have Expired
This may sound harsh. But I mean it with so much love.
Some versions of you have served their purpose.
The people pleaser.
The over-explainer.
The woman who waits until she “feels motivated.”
The woman who spends money to soothe feelings she doesn’t want to sit with.
The woman who keeps giving chances because she’s afraid to start over.
The woman who knows exactly what she needs to do but keeps negotiating with herself.
The woman who shrinks around certain people so they don’t feel small.
The woman who announces every plan but rarely stays consistent long enough to see what happens.
You know her.
You might have been her this morning.
Here’s the thing: she isn’t evil.
Don’t hate her. Don’t roll your eyes at her. Don’t talk to her like she’s a failure.
She got you here.
She protected you when you didn’t know how to protect yourself. She kept you safe in the only ways she knew how. That over-explaining? It kept the peace. That waiting? It kept you from getting hurt. That shrinking? It kept you accepted.
But here’s the hard truth about letting go:
What protected you then is limiting you now.
She got you here.
But she cannot take you there.
Personal transformation isn’t about becoming somebody else. It’s about releasing the versions of you that were built for survival so the woman built for purpose can finally breathe.
Your Next Level Will Demand Something From You
Everybody wants to level up.
Nobody wants to talk about the invoice.
The next level may cost you earlier mornings. Later nights. Less scrolling. Less impulse spending. More uncomfortable conversations. More “no.” More consistency when nobody is clapping. More patience. More humility. More faith.
And fewer excuses.
Fewer.
Excuses.
Sometimes we pray for opportunities we’re not yet disciplined enough to keep.
Read that again.
We ask God for the business, but we won’t keep a schedule. We ask for the platform, but we won’t post consistently. We ask for the money, but we won’t track where it goes. We ask for the man, but we haven’t healed what keeps choosing the wrong ones.
Then we wonder why the blessing feels delayed.
Maybe it’s not delayed.
Maybe it’s waiting on you.
The blessing isn’t just receiving the opportunity. The blessing is becoming the woman who can keep it.
That’s why preparation matters. That’s why this season of your life, the quiet, unglamorous, nobody-sees-it season, matters so much.
You’re not being overlooked.
You’re being built.
Stop Waiting to Feel Ready
I’ve wasted enough time waiting to feel ready.
Ready to start. Ready to leave. Ready to post. Ready to invest. Ready to change.
Ready to become.
But readiness is sneaky.
Because sometimes “I’m not ready” really means:
“I’m afraid.”
Afraid of failing. Afraid of being judged. Afraid that if I really try and it doesn’t work, I’ll have to face the fact that I gave it everything.
And fear loves preparation.
Because preparation can become the most comfortable hiding place in the world.
Another course. Another plan. Another color-coded spreadsheet. Another month. Another Monday.
Another January.
Meanwhile, the years keep moving whether you feel ready or not.
Let me tell you what I know for sure: you will never feel completely ready for the thing that’s going to change your life. That feeling you’re waiting for? It shows up after you start. Not before.
Confidence isn’t the ticket in.
It’s the souvenir you collect on the way.
So at some point, baby girl:
GO.
Start scared.
Start imperfect.
Start with what you have, where you are, with the shaky hands and the racing heart.
But start.
Your future doesn’t need another promise.
It needs evidence that you’re serious.
You Don’t Need a New Year. You Need New Standards.
Let me say something that might hurt a little.
January doesn’t change people.
Decisions do.
January 1st is just another morning. The sun comes up the same way it did on December 31st. If your standards stay the same, a new calendar won’t do a thing for you.
That’s why so many resolutions fade by February. They’re wishes made without boundaries to protect them.
So instead of writing resolutions, decide this:
What do I no longer negotiate?
Maybe you no longer negotiate your prayer time.
Your workouts.
Your savings.
Your sleep.
Your business hours.
Your boundaries.
Your standards in relationships.
Your self-respect.
Your peace.
Here’s the secret about discipline that nobody told me sooner: it gets easier when everything isn’t up for debate every single day.
When something becomes a standard, you stop asking yourself if you feel like it.
You just do it.
Because that’s who you are now.
That’s not restriction. That’s freedom. Freedom from the exhausting daily argument with yourself. Freedom from breaking promises to the one person you can never walk away from.
You.
And every time you keep a promise to yourself, you’re telling her something powerful:
“You can trust me now.”
Meet the Woman Who Enters 2027
Close your eyes for a moment.
Picture her.
The 2027 version of you.
How does she wake up?
What does she believe about herself?
How does she manage her money?
What does she tolerate?
What does she refuse to tolerate?
How does she speak about herself when no one is listening?
Who has access to her?
What does she do when she’s disappointed?
What does her relationship with God look like?
What does her business look like? Her body? Her bank account? Her peace?
Sit with her for a minute. Let yourself really see her.
Now here’s the part that matters most:
What does she do every day that you’re currently refusing to do?
There it is.
That’s your roadmap.
The gap between you and her isn’t luck. It isn’t timing. It isn’t who you know.
It’s daily decisions.
Small, quiet, unseen decisions, made again and again until they become who you are.
Your November Challenge: Become Her Before January
Don’t wait for the countdown.
Choose one thing.
Just one.
Wake up earlier. Start saving. Start training. Start posting. Start praying. Start drinking the water. Start writing the business plan. Start saying no.
Start walking away.
Whatever she does that you don’t, pick one and begin this week.
Not perfectly. Consistently.
Then when January arrives, you won’t be introducing yourself to the new version of you.
You’ll already know her.
You’ll walk into 2027 with a head start while everybody else is just finding their planners.
Affirmations for Becoming Her
Read these slowly. Say them out loud. Say them until you believe them.
I am capable of becoming the woman my future requires.
I release identities that no longer serve me.
My discipline is stronger than my excuses.
I keep the promises I make to myself.
I do not need January to begin again.
I choose consistency over temporary motivation.
I am preparing for the very opportunities I’m praying for.
I no longer shrink to fit places I have outgrown.
I can be grateful for who I was without remaining who I was.
My habits are beginning to match my dreams.
I trust myself to make difficult decisions.
I am becoming her now.
Don’t Drag an Expired Version of Yourself Into a New Year
Preparing for 2027 isn’t about writing another list of promises.
It’s about bringing a different you.
Not a perfect you.
Not an unrecognizable you.
A more intentional you.
A disciplined you.
A healed you.
A financially wiser you.
A spiritually grounded you.
A woman who finally understands that her future isn’t something that simply happens to her.
She participates in creating it.
So before this year ends, go find the 2026 version of you.
Hug her.
Thank her for everything. For surviving. For trying. For failing and getting back up. For loving. For walking away. For starting again more times than anyone will ever know.
Then look her in the eyes and tell her:
“I’ll take it from here.”
Because the woman walking into 2027 shouldn’t just have a new calendar.
She should have new standards. New wisdom. New boundaries. New courage.
And a deeper relationship with herself and with God.
The year is changing.
Make sure you are too.
Bossin& Blooming
This week’s reminder:
She got you here. Let her rest. It’s her turn to watch you become.
Bloom anyway.
